Our high-temperature bearings keep turning when others can’t stand the heat.

Traditional steel bearings don’t last very long in high-temperature environments or applications where steel is being made as castings expand; the polymers in the cage degrade and lubricants evaporate. Each of these elements have the power to cripple a bearing and halt in production on their own, let alone simultaneously. UNASIS has developed a range of speciality bearings designed exclusively for the use in ultra-high temperature applications such as steel making. With special lubricant and cages, steelmakers can keep a cool head when the bearings get hot thanks to UNASIS.

UNASIS’s specially-designed steelmaking bearings are rated for consistent operation at rated load and RPM in operating temperatures of up to 330°C (626°F). A variety of bearings have been designed for different applications and needs. Some UNASIS high-temperature furnace bearings are developed for low RPM with high load, whilst others are designed for high load with higher RPM.

UNASIS bearing engineers will recommend the suitable lubrication and bearing type based upon the particular furnace or steel making application. For example, some bearings from UNASIS will come lubricated and sealed permanently whilst others may require further lubrication and maintenance post installation, UNASIS will always identify the best option for your applications based off years of experience.

At UNASIS we can offer solid lubrication bearings with no liquid lubrication. This enables bearings to perform with minimal operating torque and ensures the bearings are lubricated for the bearing life time. Ceramic and hybrid bearings are another option for when heat exceeds 330°C (626°F). No matter the temperature, UNASIS have a bearing for you.

UNASIS Bearings has a vast network of distributors to reach all corners of the globe. No matter where you are, you will get the best service to go along with the best bearings.
