The Process

The UNASIS ball staking is used with a sharp-edge housing and chamfered bearing. This particular tool is utilised with a mechanical/arbour, hydraulic, or pneumatic press.  The tool provides indentations into the housing through high force and does not spin. The indentations place the ductile housing material onto the bearing and locks it into place.

 

A common process specification is Boeing’s BAC5435 or Method 300 of NAS0331.
