The Process

The UNASIS segment staking tool is used with a sharp-edge housing and chamfered bearing. This particular tool is utilised with a mechanical/arbour, hydraulic, or pneumatic press.  The Line or Segment Staking tool uses force to create impressions into the housing and it does not spin. The indentations will deform and lock into place the ductile housing material onto the bearing.

A common process specification is Method 400 of NAS0331.
