As demand increases on gas turbines, UNASIS has designed, engineered and, developed – in conjunction with leading gas turbine OEMs – a range of enhanced bearings for a wide variety of applications within the industry. These speciality bearing innovations and developments have produced significant improvements in turbine reliability and have enhanced tolerance of bleed air temperatures and support with the delivery of greatly elevated loading conditions. These upgrades, combined with others, have proved more than 350 customer valves with more than 3.2 million cycles completed faultlessly under test conditions.
UNASIS has previously been called upon to reverse engineer, develop, and manufacture obsolete gas turbine bearings when the original manufacturer no longer supports the program or application, including bearings on the main compressor shaft and high-pressure turbine. Our expert and experienced bearing engineers have the industry knowledge to either meet or exceed existing turbine bearing designs.
